Job Description
A reception job welcoming overseas guests at a small inn called "Yururi-an" near Shijo in Kyoto. The dormitory is in the room next to the inn's reception desk, with free rent. Commute time is 0 minutes.
▼What kind of work?
You will handle reception for 4 guest rooms in the same building. Most guests are from overseas, primarily from Western countries, with about 1-2 check-ins per day. During other times, you will answer guest questions via Airbnb messages, guide guests through pre-arrival procedures such as passport registration, and follow up with current guests. You will also handle amenity restocking and lost items, but room cleaning is handled by an external company.
▼Where English is used
Communication with guests is primarily in English. Simple English manuals are available, and you can use translation apps. Internal reports are made in Japanese via chat.
▼Growing your skills
Once you become comfortable, we would like you to take on more responsibilities in inn operations, such as handling Airbnb messages and managing staff schedules. Your hourly wage increases with experience.
▼About live-in work
Since the inn is open 24 hours, 365 days a year, we are recruiting someone who can work on-site. Meals are not provided, but there are convenience stores and restaurants nearby, and you can eat at the reception desk.
▼Salary
Hourly wage: ¥1,400 and up (increases with experience handling Airbnb and other tasks)
(Example) Working 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (21 days per month): ¥1,400 × 8 hours × 21 days = ¥235,200
Dormitory fee: ¥0 / Transportation allowance: None (due to live-in arrangement)
