This is work cultivating trees in the mountains and maintaining forests. The monthly salary is around 220,000 yen.

In the morning, staff gather at the office and head to the work site in teams of 3 to 5 people. You will never enter the mountain alone.

▼Specific work tasks

・Undergrowth cutting: Cut grass around planted trees using a brush cutter

・Management of planted tree mountains: Check that young trees are growing properly and remove surrounding grass and unwanted trees

・Thinning: Cut overcrowded trees with a chainsaw to allow sunlight to reach the remaining trees

・Pruning: Remove lower branches from trees to help them grow straight and knot-free

・Planting: Plant seedlings

・Hauling: Transport cut trees out of the forest

▼You can also learn to operate heavy machinery

You can learn to operate heavy equipment such as machines for transporting wood on the job site. Mountain work is not just manual labor. As you become trusted to operate machinery, the range of work you can do increases, and your salary rises accordingly.

▼Where will you work?

The work is centered in the mountains of Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture. You may also work in neighboring areas. The work site changes with the seasons and type of work rather than being at the same mountain every day.

▼How your salary increases

As you gain experience, obtain qualifications, and become trusted with machinery and work planning, it is possible to eventually aim for a monthly salary of 400,000 yen.

▼Your path after joining

At first, you will shadow senior staff and learn tool names, how to walk in the mountains, and safety rules. You will not be handed machinery suddenly. As your skills grow, the range of tasks you are trusted with expands.

We also ask you to handle work planning, task scheduling, and team leadership. Salary is determined according to your experience and qualifications.
